Alfredo Santa Cruz Sr.
July 6, 1945 – June 29, 2025
Alfredo Santa Cruz Sr., age 79, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025.
Born on July 6, 1945, in Tucson to Saturnino and Andrea Santa Cruz, he grew up with his three siblings — Fernando, Saturnino “Curly”, and Rafaela — sharing countless memories together that shaped the loving man he became.
Alfredo was a devoted father to Alfredo Jr., Denise, and Carlene; a proud grandfather to four; a cherished great-grandfather to two; and a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He also made a lasting impact on the countless young athletes he coached over the years.
His family and friends will forever remember his kindness, sense of humor, warm hugs, and his unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.
In his free time, he loved coaching kids, cheering on his grandkids at their sports games, spending time with family, and — most of all — cheering on the U of A. These moments brought him the greatest joy.
He is survived by his loving siblings, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and extended family. All who knew him will miss his stories, his smile, and his generous heart.
He will be forever loved, remembered, and deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Alfredo’s life on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. A viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Adair Funeral Home at 1050 N Dodge Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church 1220 S Sixth Ave,
