William George Snyder
June 21st, 1936 - July 9th, 2025
William George Snyder "Bill" 89 went home to the Lord on July 9th 2025. He was born in Valatie, New York. He was the son of William and Bertha Snyder (Gardner).
He is predeceased by his wife of 48 years Maryann (Mazurek), brother in law Stanley Mazurek, his sister Sandra and her husband Jesse "Mick".
Bill grew up in Valatie and at the age of 14 moved to Philadelphia with his family. He fondly remembers returning to Valatie for summer vacations and holidays. In 1966 Bill joined the Philadelphia Police Department and ended his career with the K-9 unit in 1986. Bill was a proud 50 year member of the Fraternal Order of Police. In 1986 Bill and Maryann retired to Sun City Center where they spent many wonderful years. He was a communicant of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Sun City Center. He loved his Phillies but those Rays kept him entertained.
