In Loving Memory
With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Janice G. Parks, who died peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by the family she held closest to her heart.
Born on April 10, 1957, in Columbia, South Carolina, Janice was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering devotion. She graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management. But her true life’s work was the love and care she gave to her family. A devoted wife to her husband Jerry and a nurturing, steadfast mother to their two sons, James and John, Janice poured her heart into creating a home filled with warmth, support, and unconditional love.
Janice was known for her fierce loyalty, quiet wisdom, and deep kindness. She had the rare gift of making people feel seen and valued—whether family, friend, or stranger. To be part of Janice’s life was to be embraced fully, without hesitation or condition. Her friendships were lasting, her patience endless, and her presence a source of comfort to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Parks; her sons, James and John Parks; and her sister, Brenda Sanders. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in every life she touched, in every act of love she gave so freely, and in the deep bonds she nurtured with unwavering devotion.
Those who knew Janice are invited to honor her memory by living as she did—with compassion, strength, and an open heart. Her legacy is not only in the family she cherished, but in the quiet, everyday kindness that made the world around her a gentler place.
