Virginia Ellenson
February 1st, 1935 - July 12th, 2025
Virginia Ellenson passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Curtis and India Meeks (née Hamilton). On February 12, 1956, she married the love of her life, Thomas “Tom” Ellenson. Virginia dedicated 21 years of her life as a nurse’s aide, working with compassion and care at Northview Nursing Home. She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, attending faithfully for over 80 years. A proud member of the Lions Club, Virginia found joy in service and community. She had a deep love for reading and an even greater love for children, especially small children, who were naturally drawn to her gentle spirit. Virginia will be deeply missed by her children, Randy (Debbie) of Wyoming, Ricky (Beth) of New Holstein, and Wendy (Jim) Russell of Lake Geneva; her grandchildren, Matthew, Jared, Kelly, Cody, and Ryan; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Ellenson; her parents, Curtis and India; Edward and Lilly; and her grandson, Jed. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Virginia’s name are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church or Allay Hospice. A special thank you to Allay Hospice, especially Monica, for her compassion, and to the entire staff of Spring House at Oak Hill Terrace for their kindness, patience, and caregiving.
