Though our hearts are heavy, may we find comfort in the memories she gave us, the strength she showed us, and the love she never stopped giving.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Laura A. Loescher. After facing colon cancer with resilience and courage, Laura passed away June 29th, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family.

Laura was born in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, on January 8th, 1972, to Janet Bex. She lived in many places throughout her life but eventually settled in Tacoma, Washington, with her husband of 30 years, Bill. Together they raised four children and later added a fifth to complete their family. Laura was known for her sharp wit, strong spirit, and an unforgettable sense of humor. She didn’t sugarcoat the truth and had a no-nonsense attitude that was both refreshing and full of love. She was the neighborhood mom—always welcoming extra kids into the fold—and thrived in the beautiful chaos of a busy household. More than just thriving, she was the engine that kept it all going. When she wasn't running kids to practices or games, Laura found joy in spending time with her close friends Cheri, Debbie, Denelle and her sister-in-law Shannon. She looked forward to bowling every week with her daughter and loved being part of her bowling family (Jackpot Classic). A dedicated Seattle Kraken fan, Laura also had many hobbies beyond hockey—picking huckleberries, going to the beach, bowling, and hosting family BBQs. If she wasn’t there, she was likely at the casino with Bill, enjoying their time together, often with laughter and a little luck.

In recent years, her greatest joy came from spending time with her six grandchildren. Whether it was ice cream dates, trips to the zoo, or special one-on-one sleepovers, Laura made sure each grandchild felt loved, seen, and heard—always. Laura is survived by her husband Bill, daughters Ashlyn (Bobby), Nicole (Z), her sons William (Lainey), Joseph (Jordan), Jacob (Rayn). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren—Oliver, Rilynn, Sirena, Tidus, Finn, and JJ—as well as her mother, Janet, cousins, and many dear friends who became family.

She will be missed so deeply- by her family, friends, and the many lives she touched with her love, laughter, and honesty. Though our hearts are heavy, may we find comfort in the memories she gave us, the strength she showed us, and the love she never stopped giving. Her spirit will live on in each of us, always. We love you more than all the stars in the sky Mom, until we meet again.
