In 1983 while working on Boise Ranger District she met Tom Parker in Boise Id. They were married a year later in December 1984.
She and Tom enjoyed many adventures near and far. They took many cruises, trips to Mexico, New Zealand, Bahama’s and more. She enjoyed many spontaneous local trips where a afternoon ride turned into a three day adventure. Living with Laurel gave a whole new meaning to be prepared. Laurel spent many many hours reading her favorite books and series. She was also a great lover of playing games on the computer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters
