H. "Tom" Thomas Hall
1935 - 2025
H. Thomas Hall, known affectionately as Tom, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, in Castle Pines, Colorado, at the age of 90. Born on March 18, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, Tom lived a life marked by devotion to family, service to country, professional excellence, and a passion for helping others.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science (BES) in Industrial Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1956. He was also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie program and completed postgraduate coursework at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Following an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army Reserves—where he served for 8 years —Tom began a distinguished 36-year career at Martin Marietta, where he worked on the Titan Program in Colorado, focused on mission success in the aerospace sector. His work was recognized with numerous meritorious honors from both Martin Marietta and the U.S. Air Force for excellence in audit and supplier surveillance.
In retirement, Tom began a successful second career as a Certified Tax Professional. He first worked with H&R Block, earning awards for performance excellence, before founding his own company: Rocky Mountain Tax Pros (RMTP). His analytical mind, attention to detail, and care for clients made him a trusted advisor.
Tom’s commitment to community was equally strong. He volunteered with Sertoma for 10 years, raising funds to support children with speech and hearing challenges. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored as Sertoma of the Year.
Tom had a wide range of interests, but none greater than his lifelong love of golf. He found great joy on the course and shared that passion with friends and family. He also loved listening to classic guitar music, good conversation, and the satisfaction of solving a tough problem—especially if it involved numbers.
Above all, Tom was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Louise Hall; daughter and son-in-law, Jenell and John Harkrider; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Gwen Hall; and grandchildren: Colin and Sophie Harkrider, Jordan and Melanie Harkrider, Sydney D Harkrider, Justin and Kelly Hall, Melissa Hall, and Kristina Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie and Henry Hall; his brother, James Kelly; and his beloved son, David Hall.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
