All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Colorado Springs

Ronald Peter Michaud
1946 - July 13th, 2025
Ronald P. Michaud, 79, from Colorado Springs, CO, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2025.
Ron wore many hats over the years. He was a draftsman, designer & engineer at Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, and for 25 years with Digital Equipment Corporation. After retirement, he served his neighborhood as HOA president for many years. A veteran, he proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Virginia and then in Alaska, where he met and married Cathy Farra, the love of his life, on April 19, 1968. They remained soulmates and inseparable throughout their marriage, even more so after retirement.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cathy, his son, Dustin Michaud, his grandchildren, Katherine Michaud, Michael Michaud, and Victoria Dempsey, and many great-grandchildren. Other relatives include his brothers: Len, Jerry, and Bob, as well as his sister Nanette.
Ron was a real car guy and throughout his life owned many cars, including 1932 roadsters and other street rods. He was an active participant in his local car club. Ron was the type of guy who put others above himself and would go out of his way to help others, making many friends in the process. In the past few years, Ron’s favorite activity (other than lunch) was coffee 3 times a week at McDonald’s with his coffee bunch. His kind heart also gave him a love of and soft spot for dogs, especially Larry (a rescue) and Mickey. Ron was an all-around good guy who will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ronald's honor to the American Cancer Society, SPCA, or other dog rescue organizations.
