Loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt.

Rachel Kuykendall Farmer, 37, wife of Collin Farmer, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1988 in Lexington, KY to Wilma Collins and Philip Kuykendall. Rachel worked as a respiratory therapist for the University of Kentucky Hospital.  

 

Rachel was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School. She was a member of the Color Guard and in 2002 led in Santa’s sleigh in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She went on to earn her Associate of Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from Bluegrass Community and Technical College.Rachel had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and enjoyed exploring the world of digital media, often spending her evenings immersed in captivating films and binge-worthy TV series. Her creativity shone through in her love for arts and crafts, and she never passed up the chance to shop for a stylish new purse or the perfect pair of shoes.Above all, Rachel cherished the moments she shared with her family and friends. Whether gathered for celebrations or simply enjoying each other's company, she valued those connections deeply and held them close to her heart.

 

Besides her husband, Collin, and her parents, Wilma and Philip Kuykendall, those left to cherish Rachel’s memory include her brother, Jesse (Molly) Kuykendall; niece, Wendy Kuykendall; and her mother and father-in-law, Crystal and Christopher Farmer.   

 

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.  

 

To celebrate and honor the life of Rachel, a gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 5-7pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UK Hospital.
