Weldon Plett
September 29th, 1940 - June 9th, 2025
Weldon was born in Hillsboro, KS. He moved to Tacoma when he was a sophomore. He graduated from Franklin Pierce HS in 1958. After graduating from Seattle Pacific University, he attended Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN, to prepare for pastoral ministry. He served churches in the Midwest. In 1984, he returned to Washington State to serve as a pastor on South Hill, Puyallup for seven years. Then he completed a year’s training at Swedish for chaplaincy. He served for 7 years at Good Sam Hospital. Then transferred to American VA Hospital where he was head of pastoral care until his retirement.
He leaves behind his loving wife Jan, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will have a private Life Celebration.
