Gregory Lynn Adams was born in Wendell, Idaho on February 22, 1952 to Elmer Roy “Bud” Adams and Evelyn Effie “Sally” Adams.  He lived on the farm with his sister, Sharon, and his brother, James, until the family relocated to Boise in 1954.  There he welcomed two sisters, Debbie and Mary, and his youngest brother, Kelly. He then lived in the Treasure Valley area the remainder of his life with his family.

As a baby, Greg had to undergo surgery to correct a birth defect in his skull.  Unfortunately, this made him prone to seizures and health issues his whole life.  Greg never let this get him down.

He always lent a helping hand, graduated from Boise High School in 1972, and worked hard at whatever he put his mind to do.

He was a very gentle soul, his life was simple.  He didn’t demand much, didn’t speak a harsh word of anyone.  He did have his moments and at times he could be very stubborn.  He had a great sense of humor and a grin that always looked like he was the cat who swallowed the mouse. His smile would flow all the way up into his beautiful blue eyes.  He enjoyed being involved in everything but was the quiet one in the back.

Greg was full of life and had many interests, but what he loved the most was collecting Hot Wheel cars and watching his Westerns and I Love Lucy shows.  He also enjoyed comic and puzzle books.  Greg was an animal lover, especially farm and zoo animals.

Greg completed his earthly journey on Saturday, July 12, 2025.  Survivors include his devoted caretaker and sister, Mary Adams; loving siblings: Sharon Hall and Kelly (Pam) Adams; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mom and dad; sister, Debbie Adams; brother, James Adams; grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

Thank you Greg, for allowing us to be a part of your life. You were such a loving son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed and although you may be gone from our sight, you will always be in our hearts.

There will be a private celebration of life with family instead of a funeral service. The family encourages you to make a donation to your favorite charity in Greg’s name.

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
