Gloria May Adams, 82, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025.
Born on November 15, 1942, in Denver, Colorado. Gloria was the beloved daughter of Edmond and Florence Barnes and the devoted sister of Clifford Barnes. She spent her life rooted in love, compassion, and service to others.
Gloria shared a beautiful life with her family and dearest friends, for whom she valued the time spent making wonderful memories. Early in her journey, Gloria and her late husband George Raymond Adams (Ray) worked at the Clayton College for Boys, a group home where they cared for and supported troubled youth - an experience that reflected her deep kindness and unwavering belief in helping others.
Professionally, Gloria had a long and respected career as an accountant for various law firms, where her integrity and personable nature left a lasting impression on both her colleagues and clients before she retired.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to Dawn Wright (Michael) and Scott Adams (Nicole); a proud grandmother to Lindsey Anderson (Geoffrey) and Aubrey Ravetto (Dominick); and a treasured great-grandmother to Brooklyn, Brayden, and Brentley Anderson.
Gloria found peace and inspiration in the beauty of nature. She especially loved visiting the Colorado mountains, whereas as a child herself, ventured to frequently with her own parents on many unforgettable occasions.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Raymond Adams, both of her parents Edmond and Florence Barnes, and her brother Clifford Barnes.
Gloria's life was truly a testament to love, resilience, and grace. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart will be dearly missed by forever remembered by all who knew her.
Her immediate family will be celebrating her beautiful life by the spreading of her ashes up on Mount Lindo in Morrison, Colorado.
