James Irvin McMorran
February 11th, 1936 - July 12th, 2025
James Irvin McMorran of Coon Rapids, MN went to his heavenly home on July 12, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 9 at Restoration Church, 503 Polk St. Anoka, MN 55303, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Jim was born to the late Clyde and Lillian McMorran February 12, 1936. He also had a younger sister Sharon.
Jim graduated from Anoka High School, served in the United States Army and attended Dunwoody College.
Jim married Yvonne Thoreson on June 15, 1957 and were married for 61 years. Together, they raised two children, Todd and Julie (Randy). They were blessed to have four grandchildren Randall, Justin (Briana), Nicholas (Savannah) and Alexa and five great grandchildren Iris, Rosemary, Onyx, Axel and Barrett.
Jim worked at Main Motors and Carlson Toyota for 60 years.
In his free time, Jim liked to hunt fish, and attend whatever activities his kids and then grandkids were involved in. Jim was immensely proud of his family and would grin ear to ear when talking about them.
