Eve Frances Sandy, 92, of The Villages, passed away on July 19, 2025, at the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, FL.

 

Eve was born in Gowanda, NY to Frances and Sylvester Yezek on October 28, 1932. She graduated from Gowanda High School. She married Allan Earl Sandy on May 26, 1952, in Gowanda. Eve was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was involved in community activities and volunteered at the local hospital in New Jersey, before moving to Florida. She received an award for her many hours devoted to volunteering. She enjoyed artistic pursuits including embroidery, flower arranging and painting.

 

Eve is preceded in death by her youngest daughter Ellyn Minette.  

 

Eve is survived by her husband of 73 years, Allan Sandy and her three daughters, Sandra Sandy and Jerry Farley of Tabernacle NJ, Denise and Brent Bush of Ridgway CO, and Gaile Abeyta of Groveland FL. Grandchildren include Daniel Bush, Dillon Yates along with his wife, Fernanda, and Cody Yates as well as a great grandchild, Olivia Yates.

 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on October 22nd. Please contact a member of the family if you wish to attend. Eve will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
