In Loving Memory of Skyler Holmes 1982 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Skyler Holmes on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the age of 43. As the Director of Pike’s Peak National Cemetery, Skyler embodied dedication, compassion, and unwavering service to others. His life’s work honored our nation’s veterans and their families, and he was widely admired throughout the Colorado Springs community for his tireless advocacy and integrity. Whether coordinating dignified ceremonies or providing spaces for reflection and comfort, Skyler touched countless lives with heartfelt purpose.

Outside of his professional life, Skyler was a passionate sports enthusiast. He found joy and connection through ice hockey, speed skating, hiking, climbing, and other outdoor adventures—many of which he shared lovingly with his wife and daughter. His absence leaves an immeasurable void for those who knew him.

Skyler is survived by his wife, Christina; his children, Shelby, Bailey, Godwin, and his brother, Alex. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family—including his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins—who will forever hold his memory close in their hearts.
