Lois "Nana" "Lolo" Elizabeth Knight Tucker, 95, passed peacefully with family by her side on July 21, 2025. Born January 8, 1930 to Lindsay and Daisy (Tuggle) Knight. Lois was the wife of the late Ernest Tucker.
Lois was known for her kind, generous and caring heart Lois' love for nature was apparent from her beautiful flowers when she spent much time in the yard caring for them. Lois' home was a welcoming and safe place where laughter, love, and stories were abundant. As a dear friend said, "When Lois enters a room, birds sing a happy tune." Lois will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cole and husband Dennis Cole; her sister, Debbie Knight; her in-laws, Helen Knight and Linda Knight, Louise Farrington (John), Wayne Tucker, and Darryl Tucker; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Cole, whom she loved more than words could express. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Julia Knight, Betty Broadway, Trudy Willoughby, Wayne Knight, Manley (Rena) Knight, and David Knight; and her brother-in-law, Michael Tucker.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will be at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church, 119 N Bunker Hill Rd, Colfax, NC 27235 on Friday, July 25th, 2025 at 11:00AM with Pastor Todd Reynolds and Pastor Phil Kirkman officiating. Interment will be at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery, in Colfax, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, Lois would prefer a donation be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Lauren Cole: CF Foundation 7101 Creedmore Road No. 130, Raleigh NC 27613 or cff.org and select Raleigh Chapter.
