Madge Musick Herndon, 90, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Wexford House with her daughter by her side. She was born in Russell County, VA to the late Ed and Florence Musick. Madge was a devoted and faithful member of Apostolic Lighthouse. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends and family. Madge enjoyed being outdoors especially working in her yard and flowers. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter and friends, having been to all 50 states and several countries. Madge was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her, husband, Frank Herndon; brothers, Guy, Dallas, Clyde, and Dan; sisters, Hattie Mae, Lillian, Myrtle, Eula, Hazel, and Carolyn.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Herndon; brother, Carol Musick and wife Shirley; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Allen McMillan officiating. Music will be provided by her church family.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:25 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
