Ronnie Lee Peters, 85, died peacefully, on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, surrounded by his family, at Lake House Care Center in Lake Mills, WI. Ronnie was born on September 22nd, 1939, in Goodrich, WI. He was the second child of the late Reinhold & Eloise (Gerke) Peters. He was a long-time resident of Beaver Dam, WI and graduate of Wayland Academy. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at UW-Whitewater. For 34 years, he was an accountant for the Dodge Correctional Institution & the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Ronnie was a humble and gentle man that enjoyed fishing, traveling and a good beer. He enjoyed attending Badger football games and annual trips to the Indy 500 with his buddies. He also very much-loved spending quality time with his family. He particularly savored his trips to Louisville to visit family while also exploring various cuisines, breweries and distilleries.
Ronnie is survived by his dear sister Joann Uhlman, his beloved nieces Vicki Courchaine and Cindy (Mike) Hynes, and his nephew Jason Uhlman (Jenny) and their families, who will continue to honor his legacy. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Peters, his brother Dennis Peters, and his parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1530 S. Main Street, Lake Mills, WI 53551, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM.
