Shirley Ann Jones, age of 84 of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully after battling with pancreatic cancer Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025. Shirley was born May 25th, 1941 in Nampa, Idaho to the late Carl and Phyllis Salomonsen
Shirley grew up on a farm in Nampa, Idaho. She attended and graduated from Kuna High School in 1959. She attended nursing school at St. Alphonsus Nursing School and graduated as a LPN in 1961. Shirley married the love of her life, Walter L. Jones in 1962. They built a beautiful life ingrained in faith, hard work, and unconditional love. Together, they raised two sons, Brad and Morris. Walter Jones passed away in 1996.
Shirley lived her life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ and family. She strived to see life as living within the Holy Spirit, allowing God’s spirit to guide and empower her daily life.
Shirley loved her family and was a loving wife, loving mother, loving grandmother, and loving great-grandmother. She loved helping and caring for people as a LPN nurse for over 30 years.
She is survived by her oldest son Brad and his wife Graceland, step-grandsons Joseph and James, grandson Dee and his wife Liz, and great-grandson Dune. Youngest son Morris and his wife Alison, granddaughter Sonja, and grandson Steven. Her brother Curt and his wife Joyce, and niece Stacy and her husband Jeff.
The Celebration of Life and Resurrection Service of Shirley Ann Jones will be held on August 2nd, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2920 West Cassia Street, Boise, Idaho. A graveside service will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th North, Nampa, Idaho.
The family requests that colorful flowers and notes be sent to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
