Kathleen Pott, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and cherished friend, passed away with her daughters and brother-in-law beside her on July 5, 2025, at the age of 82 in Chandler, Arizona. Born on December 22, 1942, in Waukegan, Illinois, Kathleen lived a life marked by kindness, loyalty, and an unwavering dedication to her family. Throughout her life, Kathleen embodied the spirit of nurturing and care. In her early years, she devoted herself to being a stay-at-home wife and mother, lovingly guiding her daughters, Debra and Cheryl, through their formative years. Her commitment extended beyond the home, serving as a room mother and a crossing guard.   As her daughters grew, Kathleen worked at a law firm and eventually joined her husband John at Tewes Company, a family business they ran with daughter Debra, sister Nancy and niece Pamela.  Kathleen was not only a devoted family member, but also a friend to many. Those who knew her will remember her beautiful soul and her innate ability to connect with others. Kathleen enjoyed simple pleasures such as reading, morning coffee with friends, ladies luncheons and playing cards. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband John, whom she was married to for 59 years, brother John (Jean) DeBoer, sister Nancy (Lloyd) Frye, and is survived by her daughters, Debra (Audrey Dragunaitis) Pott and Cheryl Pott, her brothers-in-law James (Patti) Pott and Donald (Joyce) Pott, and numerous nieces & nephews. Her legacy of warmth and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A private cremation has taken place, honoring Kathleen’s wishes and the family's desire for a quiet farewell. In lieu of public services, those wishing to express their condolences may make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, plant a tree in her memory, or cherish her memory in their own way. Kathleen Pott will be remembered not only for her love for her family, but also for the kindness she extended to others with a welcoming heart. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of cherished memories that will endure through the lives she touched.
