Joseph Patrick Kelly

Kind, generous, loving, intelligent and fun; what better words could be used for any human being? That was Joe.

Joe was born March 12, 1944, as the fourth child of 12, to Margaret and Thomas Kelly. Needless to say, he had an exciting childhood with much joy, along with bumps and bruises.

Joe attended 12 years at St. Mary's Grammer and High School in Brookline, MA. He graduated cum laude from Boston College, in 1966.

Joe worked in the corporate world for ten years. But, found his true calling teaching 7th and 8th grade, along with being "Mr. Wizard" in Cape Canaveral, Florida. 

He and his partner spent the summer months in Newport, Rhode Island, where they had many friends.

Joe was also very athletic. He played hockey in college and later golf and tennis. He enjoyed his membership at Eau Gallie Yacht Club and his most recent bridge buddies.

Joe is survived by his siblings: Tom, John, Sheila, Maureen, Billy, Kathleen and Peggy.

He will join in Heaven his parents and siblings: Terry, Jim, Frank and Kevin. He also leaves behind two close friends: Lyn Craighton and Rick Eisenhud.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joe, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10 am at Christ Episcopal Church, 190 Interlachen Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940 ·
