Born in Olympia, WA, the third oldest of six children to Frank and Donna (Marsh) Morgan, and was a graduate of Olympia High School.

Fran told of a Childhood filled with horses and all kinds of animals. Hours spent outdoors in all kinds of weather playing with her brothers and sisters. Countless card games and get togethers with her favorite Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Making lots of memories and creating stories to share full of laughter.

Not everyone knew she was an extremely talented musician and could play the flute, violin, piano, guitar, and was even known to pick up an accordion. She was a very gifted artist and especially enjoyed working on sketches and paintings of horses and flowers. She always loved having lots of bright flowering plants around. The plants drew the butterflies and hummingbirds, which became her favorite thing to watch. There were always animals around, some chickens but mostly the dogs and cats, including a few deer over the years.

We were always heading out on spontaneous car rides mostly winding up at the ocean, and our endless camping trips to Pacific Beach.

Fran worked as a Hostess at the West Water Inn, and enjoyed working for the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband opened Delphi Custom Meats and later Old World Sausage in Lacey, WA. Her famous pepperoni sausage recipe is still being used in some local meat shops. Eventually, she retired from a civil engineering firm, where she worked for more than 10 years.

She spent her retirement caring for her husband and doing some light traveling to and with her family in Minnesota. Often laughing and crying happy tears, while sharing what shenanigans they had gotten up to. She enjoyed gardening and mostly time with her grandkids and great grandkids. It seemed no matter what she was up to, her faithful dogs Chip and Sarge were always at her side.

Despite her valiant fight after last July’s heart attack, she sadly never regained her strength. Both her loving daughters, son, and grandchildren, gathered to say their final goodbyes to her on Wednesday, finding comfort knowing she’s reunited with Tim, both Chip and Sarge, and her other loved ones who cherished her dearly.

She’s leaving behind a large legacy of people impacted by her kindness, generosity, compassion and beauty.

Fran was preceded in death by her older brother Leonard, both parents and her husband, Tim.

She is survived by her sisters Linda, Pat (Rich), Pam (Jack) and her brother Darrell (Teri). And also, her children Russ (Cindy), Shay (Steve), Ralph (Michelle), Tami and Christi. Her 12 grandkids and 9 great grandkids including one she lovingly borrowed.

Love you Mom, Always.
