When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets. Leave something to remember, so they won't forget. I was here!
Brenda Kleinsteuber Gary
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend
1949 – 2025
Brenda Kleinsteuber Gary passed away peacefully in July 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Canada as the daughter of a devoted minister, Brenda grew up in a home filled with faith, music, and compassion. These early influences shaped the generous spirit, deep empathy, and unwavering kindness that defined her life.
A gifted pianist with a lifelong love of music, Brenda found joy and solace at the piano bench — and often brought that same joy to others through her playing. She also found deep joy in the kitchen, where she expressed her love through food. Cooking for others was one of her greatest pleasures, and her meals were often the centerpiece of family gatherings, full of warmth, comfort, and care.
Brenda was a devoted mother to her three sons, Gregory Jr., Geoffrey, and Guilian. Her life revolved around them, and later, around her cherished grandchildren: Aria and Ella (daughters of Gregory Jr.), and Austin (son of Geoffrey and his wife Ashley). She was endlessly proud of each of them, their unique spirits, and the love they brought into her life.
Brenda spent most of her adult years between New York, Virginia, and Denver, always creating warm, welcoming homes full of laughter, music, and open doors. She was a faithful sister to her brother Wayne Kleinsteuber and a loving aunt to his children — Laura, Michelle, and Alex — with whom she shared a special bond.
Those who knew Brenda remember her for her gentle strength, her gracious heart, and the quiet way she made every person feel seen and cared for. She believed in kindness above all and gave it freely — in her words, her music, her cooking, and her actions.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, in the songs she played, in the meals she lovingly prepared, and in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local music or youth charity in her name.
