It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gracie Elizabeth Golden. She started her walk with Jesus on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025. She was born on November 25th, 2006, at Harrisburg Hospital. She came into the world quickly, making her appearance right at midnight. She was the little light that made our family complete. Growing up, Gracie loved to tag along with her siblings and their friends, since she was like their little sister as well. Gracie was an artist in many ways. She was a talented drawer, she expressed her emotions through singing, and she also taught herself how to play the keyboard. The most beautiful part of Gracie was the support that she provided for the people in her life. She was the shoulder to cry on for friends, the laughter to her family in hard times, and another mothering figure to her nieces that adore her.
Gracie struggled with depression and anxiety, she held the weight, so others did not have to because she loved to help everyone. If there is anything that she would want for others, it is to remember that you are not alone, you are loved, to just keep talking, and to “Just breathe”. She saved so many people in ways she did not understand. She is survived by her mother and father, Amy Dettinger and Tom Golden, and her siblings, Luke Golden and Olivia Murray.
There will be a viewing and funeral service for Gracie on Thursday, July 31st at 1:00pm for friends and family to attend. The service will take place at the Island Funeral Home at 4 Cardinal Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.
