In Loving Memory
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Louise Yolande Provost Brady, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Louise is survived by her six children: Catherine (Kay) Hoag, Diana Washburn, Theresa Cashatt, Angela Brady-Fleming (Mark), Bobby Brady, Jr. (Ted), and Laurie Brady McAvoy (Jamie); 12 grandchildren: Gwen, Todd, Derek, Chuck, Daniele, Staci, Meredith, Christian, Margaret, Beth, Jimmy, and Aaron (pre-deceased). 14 great-grandchildren: Aaron, Alleah, Racheal, Grayson, Bronson, Scarlette (Letti), Maddux, Kennedy, Alice, Jack, Cloe, Maddy, Kalex and Thalia. 5 great-great grandchildren: Braylen, Cameron, Lanie, Moleek and Kai, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Born in Lemieux, Quebec, Canada on November 4, 1935. Louise was the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Comeau) Provost. Louise was a devoted wife to the late Bobby Eugene Brady, Sr. of Greensboro NC. She is survived by her sister, Denise Lacroix of Waterville, Maine She is pre-deceased by her brothers: Jean-Claude, Joseph, and Frank Provost, as well as sisters: Anne-Marie Provost, Gertrude Provost, and Lauretta Elkins.
Louise retired from the Guilford County school system working in the cafeteria at Page High School for over 32 years. She was a talented seamstress and creator of knitted treasures. She sewed clothing for all her children, extended family, friends, and neighbors. She was well known for making baby booties and slippers (pichoux) as gifts.
The memorial service is Thursday, July 31 at 4:00pm, officiated by nephew Dennis Pinnix, Jr. at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC.
