Mark Padgett
January 26th, 1959 - July 8th, 2025
Mark Donovan Padgett passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Olympia Washington due to natural causes. Though he will be dearly missed by friends and family alike, his memory will be carried on by all who knew and loved him. Mark was born on January 26, 1959, in Chehalis Washington to his two parents John H. Padgett and Willene E. Withes Padgett. After graduating Highschool in 1977 he would go on to join the military on March 8th of 1977.
Serving in the Airforce in both Los Angles California and in Alaska, before he was honorably discharged at McChord Air Force Base in Washington on November 5, 1980. He always had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together, so it was only natural he would then continue his career as a mechanic in the 1990s. Before owning his own local automotive business in the early 2000’s, which he took great pride in. When Mark was close to retiring, he began driving long truck hauls which he found great enjoyment in doing.
His passion for mechanics would lead him to develop a love for classic cars, and whether it was his business or his hobbies Mark excelled at everything he did. Naturally outgoing and had a vigor for life, Mark enjoyed going out and hunting as well as target shooting. He was a pillar of his family, with a generous spirit and a reliable nature, he was always there when you needed him. Mark was always active in all his family members’ lives, including the furry members of the family. He absolutely adored his dogs, and they will miss him just as much as the rest of the family.
Mark is survived by his father, John H. Padgett of Ridgecrest California; his brother, Tony Padgett of San Antonio Texas; His Sisters, Elizabeth Goodpasture of Grants Pass Oregon, Elana DeGarmo of Olympia Washington, Kimmie Willard of California, Tina Johnson of Washington, and Pennie Dutton of Washington. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Nina Dianne Padgett who passed in 2019; his mother, Willene Estelle Padgett who passed in 2022; and his brother, Lance G. Padgett who passed in 1990.
A service will be held in Marks honor in Ridgecrest California; an exact date and location will be announced at a later date.
Let us honor Mark by remembering all the blessings he gave to our lives. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
