Kelly Joseph Hare, 63, of Gilbert, AZ passed away July 20th, 2025.
Kelly was born June 29, 1962, to John and Jeanne Hare in Santa Fe, NM. He graduated from Santa Fe High School and moved to Albuquerque, NM where he received an associate’s degree in electronics/computer engineering from ITT Technical Institute. While in Albuquerque, he met his soulmate and wife of 34 years, Jean. Together they raised two daughters, Andrea and Allison.
Kelly was an involved father who loved spending time with his girls. He enjoyed volunteering as a basketball coach and teaching his girls to ride bikes and other sports they pursued. Kelly was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and proudly displayed his memorabilia, he never missed a game. He had a passion for classic rock music, fishing, camping and motorcycles.
Kelly loved the taste of authentic New Mexican cuisine and became a great cook. Cooking for his family and friends brought him immense joy. He looked forward to hosting family gatherings for Thanksgiving, the more people the merrier. He had a great fondness for the Pecos Wilderness area north of Santa Fe, whereas a young boy he was taught by his grandfather to fish in the streams, a hobby he enjoyed the rest of his life.
Kelly was a kind husband, father, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jeanne, father-in-law Raymond, brothers David and Kevin, sister-in-law Ann, brother-in-law Scott and Cousin Kenny.
Kelly is survived by his wife Jean, children; Andrea and Allison, mother-in-law Charlotte, siblings; Steve (Julie), Diane, Chuck, Chris-Kit and Karen, sisters-in-laws; Sue (Doug), Kathy (Scott), Judy (Joel) and Amy (Tom), aunts; Justine and Judy, Uncle Thomas and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
