Jeanetta Dodd
September 27th, 1932 - July 18th, 2025
Jeanetta Dodd was born on September 27, 1932, in Clarksville, Texas. She and her two older siblings grew up in the Clarksville community attending school and church. Sis. Dodd was the daughter of the late Ben and Alma Huff. She grew up in a home rooted in love, faith, and family values that she carried with her throughout her life. Sis. Dodd was a woman of strength, wisdom, and grace. She was known for her love for Christ, love for evangelism, kind heart, unwavering faith, and gentle spirit. She married the late Terry C. Dodd in 1961. Together they built a legacy of love, family, and service to others. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, always putting family first. Her door was always open, and her home was a place of peace, prayer, and love. Sis. Dodd was a faithful member of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Tucson, Arizona, for over 50 years. She served in numerous church ministries including the Mission, Evangelism, Prison, and Prayer Ministries. She was a faithful deaconess and served a season as a Sunday school teacher and senior choir member. During her tenure at Grace Temple, she was honored with several awards in the areas of servitude, evangelism, and longevity. Her love for God was evident in all she did, and she often reminded others to "trust in the Lord with all your heart" (Proverbs 3:5). She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Alma Huff; her husband, Terry C. Dodd; her siblings, Nanny White and Nick Huff; and youngest son, Terry E. Dodd. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Mary, Floyd, and Arlene; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family, and dear friends. She departed this earthly life on July 18, 2025, having lived 92 years in service to the Lord. Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, loved ones, and those she evangelized. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord (Matthew 25:21, KJV).”
