Ingeborg Christa Huey
August 2nd, 1946 - July 28th, 2025
In Loving Memory of Ingeborg Christa (Hallman) Huey August 2, 1946 – July 28, 2025With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Ingeborg Christa (Hallman) Huey, age 78, of Warner Robins, Georgia, who entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2025, surrounded by her beloved husband and family.
Born in Berlin, Germany, to the late Franz Joseph Johannes Hallmann and Frieda Kraudbun Hallmann, Ingeborg was a truly extraordinary woman—one whose strength, beauty, and light touched every life she encountered. She was simply irreplaceable. It was in Berlin, amidst a divided city and a world in flux, that Ingeborg met the love of her life, Preston Lamar Huey, who was serving in the U.S. Army. One night, Preston told his friends to point out the prettiest girl in the room—and without hesitation, they led him to Ingeborg. It was love at first sight. The two would go on to build a lifetime together, sharing a bond that weathered over 28 duty stations across the globe, always side by side. Together, they raised four children: Connie Christa Hanninen, Michael Lamar Huey, Sean Ashley Huey and Jennifer Rose Huey. Ingeborg was the heart and soul of her family—the kind of mother every child dreams of. She was a devoted wife, an unwavering source of strength, and a fiercely loving and protective presence. Her family was her world, and she was theirs.
Ingeborg was not only a gifted cook and homemaker, but also an artist at heart. She loved crafting, crocheting, painting, and tending to her thriving plants. Her creativity and care were visible in everything she touched. Though she was full of warmth and kindness, she was also known for her "spicy" spirit—a strong-willed fire that made her even more unforgettable to those who knew her best.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jurgen Hallmann.
Left to cherish her incredible memory are her husband, her children, and her greatest treasures—her grandchildren: Kayla Corl, Shane Huey, Robert Huey, Bradyn Huey, and Landen Huey, as well as her great-grandson, Preston Corl.
Ingeborg’s love, laughter, and light will continue to live on through her family and all those lucky enough to have known her. Her presence cannot and will never be replaced.
A memorial service to celebrate her beautiful life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends.
