John “Ken” Donaldson, 82, of Sewell, NJ passed away at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees on July 24, 2025.

 

Born in Homestead, PA, he is the son of the late Eugene and Emma (nee Nelson) Donaldson, and brother to the late Barbara Donaldson. Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Faith (nee Cush) Donaldson; devoted father of Rebecca Donaldson (Christine Brown), Laura Roedig (Michael), Melissa Sims (Jay) and David Donaldson (Christine); and loving grandfather to Mallory, Alex, Audrey, Ethan, Zach, Charlie and Evelyn. Ken is also survived by his extended family members and dear friends.

 

Ken faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from active duty before transferring to Air National Guard. Following his service, he became a sales engineer, primarily servicing the steel industry and finishing his career with Quaker Chemical.

 

A true family man, Ken’s life revolved around his family. He enjoyed traveling the globe with his wife. He was an avid golf enthusiast, and together, Ken and Faith enjoyed attending different golf courses. Ken was a member of Concord Country Club in Concordville. He enjoyed playing card games with family, the solace of fishing and in his younger years, kept active by jogging. Above all, he was happiest surrounded by his family and grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The viewing will be held from 9am until 11am at McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
