Count your riches not by things you can see and/or touch, but the feelings in the heart...💙 Dr. Vincent Kituku
Ronna Lois Tarrant (Janousek) 81 years old passed away, July 22, 2025, of natural causes. She was born on November 3,1943 in Boise, Idaho. She was raised in the Mountain Home and the Shoshone/Magic Reservoir areas prior to moving to Boise where she graduated from Boise High School in 1962. She married Dwight Tarrant in 1962 and was later divorced. They were the proud parents of two daughters and one son.
Ronna worked in several occupations supporting women and children's health and nutrition. She always remained a strong advocate for several programs even after her retirement. Ronna was an active member of several organizations: Southminster Presbyterian Women, T.O.P.S, YWCA and Wounded Warriors.
Ronna was a strong independent woman. She took great pride in her ability to support herself. She was proud of her children and grandchildren. Upon the unexpected death of her son, she stepped in to assist in raising her grandchildren.
Ronna enjoyed a good party and good food; hamburgers were her all-time favorite. She was a true chocoholic. She loved being in the mountains, the smell of pine and the crackle of the fire. She enjoyed her home and relaxing on the patio reading her books. In her early years she traveled more frequently to Hawaii, Alaska, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Arizona. She loved music, especially country and the oldies.
She believed in God, held her faith strong and kept true to herself. She enjoyed attending multiple church bible studies and the friendships she made there.
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to witness the love and caring of her family and friends during this difficult time.
She is survived by her sister, Loretta (Kenny) Hill, daughters, Debby Tarrant (Nancy), Michelle Tarrant (Scott), grandchildren, Sky Tarrant, Colton Tarrant and Stephen Jones. Her extended family includes nieces, nephews, cousins and many additional family members and dear friends.
She was presided in death by her parents, Lillie and Otto Janousek, son, Terry Tarrant and grandson, Curtis Tarrant.
Celebration of life will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church on Friday Aug 8, 2025. The viewing will begin at 10 am with service and luncheon to follow. Burial will be immediate family only at Dry Creek Cemetery.
