Adolph “Kiki” Bachicha passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, after a courageous journey—ending his time of suffering and entering eternal peace.

Born in Roswell, New Mexico, on September 4, 1948, Adolph proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he went on to build a long and respected career at Sandia National Laboratories, retiring in 2015 after 27 years in procurement.

Adolph is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Mary Bachicha; his son, Fernando Bachicha; and his daughter, Sarah (Robert) Trujillo. Nothing brought him more pride than being “Grandpa Kiki” to his four grandchildren: Quinn and Cash Bachicha, and Rocky and Roxy Trujillo. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his greatest joy.

He is also survived by his loving siblings: Paula Montoya, Juanita (Alfred) Romero, Helen Bachicha, Steve Bachicha, and Salvador Bachicha. He leaves behind many beloved in-laws: Salomon (Linda) Cordova, Joe Frank Romero, Chevo Cordova, Nila (Maurelio) Romero, Cathy (Louie) Baca, and Cecilia Cordova (Dan), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Espiridion and Julianita Bachicha; his in-laws, Agapito and Juanita Cordova; his siblings, David Bachicha and Rosa Gonzales; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Jimmy Montoya, Alice Bachicha, Frank (Agapita) Cordova, Tony (Isabel) Cordova, Albita (Almenzor) Chavez, Augustin (Lily) Barajas, Angela (Lawrence) Baca, Eloy (Annie) Barajas, Jose (Josie) Barajas, Vicky Romero, and Gilbert Cordova. He is also reunited with other dear loved ones who passed before him.

Adolph had a quiet strength, a sharp sense of humor, and a kind heart. He loved working in his yard, could often be found browsing the aisles of Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Harbor Freight, and cheering on his favorite teams the Raiders and the Dodgers. He was also a master behind the grill, known for his love of BBQing and smoking food, and for his infamous homemade posole made every Christmas and eagerly anticipated by the whole family.

He lived his life for his family. He worked hard, loved deeply, and gave endlessly. He was a strong provider, a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a proud grandfather who would do anything for those he loved. His presence will be missed, but the legacy of his devotion and sacrifice will live on in each of them.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Hospice de La Luz for the time, care, and support they provided during Adolph’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the New Mexico Cancer Center.

Pallbearers will be his beloved grandchildren: Quinn Bachicha, Cash Bachicha, Rocky Trujillo, And Roxy Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers are Luis Bachicha, Lupe Lopez, David Sanchez, and David Spiers.

Services will be held on Friday August 8, 2025, at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas, New Mexico:
