Salvador R. Abundis, lovingly known as "Chava," passed away on July 28, 2025. Born in La Purisima, MPIO De Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, on December 2, 1970, Chava was the youngest of twelve siblings. He was the cherished son of Rosario Abundis and Elisa Rodriguez.

Chava is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Michelle Abundis, and their sons: Robert (Eroshia), Gilbert, and Tony (Damariz) Abundis. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Samuel, Eliana, Dezirey, Ava, Jay, Avery, Delema, Leo, and soon-to-arrive Rosalia. He is also survived by his father Rosario Abundis and ten siblings.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Elisa Rodriguez, sister Julia Abundis, and his only daughter, Melinda Joanne Abundis.

Chava met Michelle in 1990 in Reseda, California, and they married in 1994, beginning a beautiful journey together. He was known for his hardworking spirit, kind heart, and unwavering generosity. Chava had a deep love for cooking and gardening, never missing a day of watering his plants—or his grandchildren if they happened to be nearby. He enjoyed playing pool, cornhole, and spending time at family gatherings, always surrounded by those he loved.

Affectionately called "Pops" by his sons' friends, Chava embraced everyone as family. His warmth and compassion touched countless lives, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

The Abundis family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this time.
