David McBride
January 18th, 1945 - July 22nd, 2025
David McKinley McBride, 80, of Homedale, Idaho, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2 p.m., August 15, 2025, at Homedale Senior Center, 224 W Idaho, Homedale, ID 83628. Services will be officiated by Pastor Ray Gerthung of Wilder, ID.
David was born January 18, 1945, in Boise, ID. Growing up he lived in Oregon, Missouri, Arkansas, California and graduated from Merrill, Oregon. David spent time as a farm hand, hauling hay, truck driving, playing guitar and finished out his career as a diesel truck mechanic shop foreman at Nelson Construction in Boise, ID. His most important roles, however, were a husband, father, and eventually Grandpa.
David is preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Cassie McBride of Homedale, ID; a brother, Larry McBride of Homedale, ID; a son, David McBride of Electric City, WA. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geneva Sue McBride of Homedale, ID; a daughter and son-in-law, John and Suzanna Pearson of Kimberly, ID; a daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Cassandra Page of Melba, ID; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Tracy McBride of Greenleaf, ID; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeremy and Davina Jackson of Nampa, ID; a son, Matthew McBride of Caldwell, ID; a daughter and son-in-law, Kenny and Kathleen Rose of Homedale, ID; a sister and brother-in-law, Jim and Pat Gonzalez; a sister and brother-in-law, Mike and Ellen Swift; a sister-in-law, Donna McBride; along with several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A potluck dinner will be held after the service for those that would like to attend.
