Rafael Nazario, Jr.

Mr. Rafael Nazario, Jr. age 68, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Nazario was born April 6, 1957, in Manhattan, New York to Rafael and Milagros (Cotto) Nazario, Sr. He was an Auburndale resident since 1995 coming from New York, a United States Airforce Veteran and a member of the Auburndale Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall. Rafael retired after 32 years of service as an Aircraft Mechanic for United Airlines. He enjoyed being a handyman around the house, camping, traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers – Antonio & Anibal. Rafael is survived by his loving family, wife of 32 years – Aura Nazario; 2 sons – Nelson (Janeth) Nazario & Ruben (Ivanna) Nazario; stepson – Emmanuel (Michelle) Benitez; stepdaughter – Mabel (Duby) Bello; brother – Edwin (Tracy) Nazario; 2 sisters – Milagros Martinez & Lissette Ruiz; 3 grandsons – Julien, Davian & Oliver. Funeral services will be held 6pm Thursday, August 7th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5pm at the funeral home.
