John Cojanis passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 15, 2025.

John was born on February 19, 1943 to Michael and Edith Cojanis. He grew up stirring up plenty of mischief on the streets of Westfield, New Jersey. As the youngest of seven children, his antics often went unnoticed-unless his siblings were in on the fun. After losing his parents at a young age, John was raised mostly by his siblings and extended family.

John graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1960 and went on to college at the university of Oklahoma where he attended 1 ½ years which is all he could afford.

John grew into a man of many talents. He was sharp in school and possessed a natural street smarts that served him throughout his life. After leaving college he soon became top sales producer in Colony House selling China Crystle and Cookware. At the age of 20 he had an exclusive franchise for Ariona.

It was in Tucson that he met and married the love of his life, Sally, on August 27, 1968, and together they made a home raising 2 children Lesa (Cojanis) Wilson in 1969 and Michael in 1971.

In 1978 John received an unusual calling to serve God by giving "Life In The Spirit" Seminars in Catholic Churches around Arizona and by 1983 John Cojanis Ministries was founded.

Over the years, the family logged countless miles across the country-often with a dog or two-traveling in RVs for more than four decades. John's ministry had a wide-reaching impact, touching lives nationwide. People would rearrange their schedules and travel great distances to attend his healing missions. The stories of their adventures have brought tears of laughter, sadness, joy, and deep gratitude to those who knew him.

When not on the road, John channeled his energy into real estate. He had an uncanny knack for renovating, renting, and selling properties. For a time, he also ran a popular taco stand-yet another example of his entrepreneurial spirit.

John loved his family fiercely. He was a constant source of wisdom, always ready to offer guidance or a helping hand. His advice came from the heart, rooted in a deep desire to see his loved ones thrive and go even further than he did. His final words to his family were filled with love, encouragement, and hope for their futures.

Though doctors predicted a much shorter life, after a heart attack due to Coronary Artery Disease John lived more than 30 years beyond their expectations. He knew he still had work to do-and he gave it his all.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Sally; daughter Lesa Wilson (Bryan Wilson); son Mike Cojanis (Amy Cojanis); grandchildren Darrin, Nevada (Samantha), and Sevin; brother Peter Cojanis; and sister Liz Behne. Preceded by Father Michael, Mother Edith, Sisters Helen, Mary Lou and Margaret and Brother James.

His legacy of faith, humor, love, and service lives on in all those he touched. His family will gather this fall to celebrate his extraordinary life.

Dad told us not to make plans for Father's day. Though he said he was ready to "go home" a couple weeks ago, he apparently knew that today would be when he actually left us. His body and his mind are at peace. He will be missed on this earth, but he's singing karaoke with the angels (and possibly Elvis himself).

He dedicated his life to serving God and guiding his family with steady love and unwavering faith. He was blessing people and encouraging his loved ones with his last words.

"His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'" Matthew 25:23
