Celebrating the Life of First Lady Soraya K. Randle  Sunrise: January 3, 1960 – Sunset: August 1, 2025

With hearts full of sorrow, yet lifted by the hope we have in Christ Jesus, we pause to celebrate the life, legacy, and homegoing of our beloved First Lady Minister Soraya K. Randle, who entered eternal rest on August 1, 2025.

Born on January 3, 1960, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to the late Rosie B. Childs and Eugene Hall, Soraya was a woman of great faith, quiet strength, and steadfast grace. She was a proud graduate of Northside High School, went on to earn a Master’s degree from Georgia Southern University, and later pursued her theological studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary—a reflection of her unwavering commitment to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

Minister Soraya’s walk with the Lord was evident in all she did. Her ministry began at First Baptist Church, where she faithfully led the Women’s Ministry under Pastor Josh B. Kirvin. She later united with Beulahland Bible Church under Dr. Maurice Watson, where she taught Sunday School, ministered with compassion, and briefly served as the head of the Women’s Ministry. In her final and most treasured assignment, she served at First Salem Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia, where she stood faithfully beside her husband of 19 years, Reverend Jeffrey Randle, as First Lady, Minister of Sunday School, and his trusted “right hand.” In every church she touched, Soraya poured into the lives of women, couples, families, and young people. She was a gifted teacher, wise counselor, marriage mentor, encourager, and prayer warrior.

In the professional realm, Soraya also walked in excellence. She served with honor as an Acquisition Specialist at Robins Air Force Base, where her intelligence, integrity, and mastery of government law and policy made her a trusted advisor and a pillar in her department. She not only excelled in her work, but she poured into others, mentoring the next generation of acquisition professionals with patience, clarity, and wisdom.

Those who knew Soraya knew her to be humble, sweet-spirited, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She was an avid student of the Word and a quiet force in any room she entered. Whether behind the podium, in the boardroom, or across the kitchen table, Soraya reflected the light of Christ. Among her many joys was her beloved dog, Luke, her loyal companion and constant comfort, who brought her much happiness over the years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Reverend Jeffrey Randle; stepchildren, Devin Randle and Erica Randle Gee; her brothers, Harold Hall, Keith E. Hall (Bridgett), and Danny Childs; four beloved nieces and nephews: Benton Hall, Bryce Hall, Danielle Childs, and Daniel Childs; and a host of extended family, church members, colleagues, mentees, and dear friends who were all touched by her life.

We give God praise for the time He allowed us to share with Minister Soraya. We find comfort in knowing she’s now resting in the arms of Jesus, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and where the saints are rejoicing.
