Ethel Rose Steinkirchner was born on September 30, 1927, in Pueblo, Colorado to Marshall and Myrtle Stephenson. She was 97 when she passed away.

She had a sister Regina and two brothers, Emmett and Marshall (Dobby). All of her siblings have preceded her.

Ethel met Albert Steinkirchner and they were married in Colorado Springs in June 1946. They had four children, Eugene (Fran), Ronald (Debbie), Lynnett (Jim), and Russell (Cathy). Ethel had three grandchildren, Jeannie (Steve), Robin (Jeff), and Alyssia (JD). She also had four great-grandchildren, Blake, Kennedy, Quinten, and Audry.

Ethel began her working career as a typist at Camp Carson during WW2. She continued as a Medical Transcriptionist at the Air Force Academy Hospital and as a secretary at the Air Force Childlaw Building. She finished her working career as a rural Postal Carrier in Peyton.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Community of Christ) and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her service/talent was cooking and she cooked for many youth camps, reunions, and church socials.

After Al passed away, Ethel began to travel. She visited Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, and many USA cities. Her last two trips were to the Holy Land in Israel.

When her health began to fail, she moved to Morning Star at Mt. Shadows. She loved the residents and the staff. She loved to sing and dance for everyone whenever she could. She will be missed by the Mt. Shadows community, friends, and family.

At this time there will be no service only a private gathering.
