Adair Funeral Home - Dodge
Maria ""Terry"" Theresa Ortega
July 6th, 1963 - July 26th, 2025
It comes with great sadness to share that our blessed mother, Maria Theresa “Terry” Ortega, age 62, peacefully passed away on July 26, 2025.
She was born July 6, 1963 in Tucson, Arizona to Gregory Sr. and Artemisa B. Ortega. She was raised in the southside of Tucson and attended Sunnyside High School for all four years. She worked at Foster Grant for years before her underlying issues made her unable to work. Although she was unable to work, Mama Terry was a babysitter to many, and adored watching the younger generation grow.
She was there for anyone who wanted to talk, and loved family & friends deeply.
During Terry's youth, she enjoyed listening to music and capturing pictures of her family. She also enjoyed taking drives around Arizona with her parents. Later in life, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, always partaking in University of Arizona sporting events (especially basketball), taking trips to the White Mountains, traveling with her son Isaiah for basketball, also being able to visit theme parks such as LegoLand with the Munoz family, and Disneyworld with her grandson Apollo and family. She did her best to be involved in everything she could be a part of, and gained irreplaceable connections.
She is preceded in death by her loved ones; Gregory Sr., Artemisa B. Ortega (Parents), Erlinda Granillo (Sister), Baby (her chihuahua who recently passed away), as well as many tias and tios.
Terry is survived by her sons; Isaiah Ortega, Mario (Alexis) Granillo, and Marcos Granillo. Siblings; Yolie Chamseddine, Ralph Ortega, JoAnn Harris, Gregory Ortega Jr., and Mary “Kathy” Ortega. Grandson; Apollo Granillo.
You are missed and will always be loved.
The viewing will be on Wednesday, at Adair Funeral Home Dodge Chapel August 13, 2025, from 6-10 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral on Thursday August 14, 2025, with a rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m., and a mass at 10:00 a.m., followed by the procession to Holy Hope Cemetery.
