Thomas Michael Landers, 91, passed away on Friday August 1, 2025.  He was born on November 16, 1933 in Palmer, MA, where Thomas would reside for the entirety of his life. He was the son of his late parents, Patrick F. and Mary C. (Sullivan) Landers. Thomas lived a life marked by dedication, love, and service to others.

Thomas was a proud and accomplished individual, earning a degree from American International College. His professional life was distinguished, serving as the Director of Quality Control for Hamilton Standard in Connecticut, playing an integral role in the historic 1969 Moon Landing. It would be here where his boss unofficially dubbed him as the "Hero of Lim". He also ventured into insurance sales during the 1970s, leaving a positive impact in every position he held.

His commitment to service extended beyond his career; Thomas served in the Army during the Korean War, demonstrating his dedication to his country. An exceptional athlete in his youth, he shone bright in sports such as football, baseball, and basketball during his time at Palmer High School.

As an avid sports fan, Thomas found joy in watching games, but he had other hobbies as well. Thomas often immersed himself in his extensive collection of books, particularly those exploring Irish folklore and history. His love for family was paramount, enjoying long walks and cherished moments with those he held dear.

Thomas is survived by his very beloved daughter, Margaret Landers, her husband Al Hebert and his son Jason Hebert, sister-in-law Diana Landers, and a host of loving nephews and nieces, who will carry his memory forward in their hearts.

Along with his parents, Thomas is predeceased by beloved Mary K. Landers, his sister Barbara Ann, and two brothers Michael and Patrick Landers.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects August 19th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. A service will be held immediately after at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish at 11 am. His legacy will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. For those wishing, donations can be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 1076 Thorndike St., Palmer MA 01069.
