Rita Mae Yankee
May 11th, 1938 - July 16th, 2025
Rita Mae Yankee (nee Mahalak) died peacefully in her sleep on July 16, 2025, in Lincoln, California. Rita was born on May 11, 1938, in Wyandotte, Michigan. She met the love of her life, Ronald James Yankee, and they married on August 5, 1961. Ron died tragically on February 23, 1974. Rita moved to California in 1988, where she had many adventures with dear friends.
With an eye for color and design, Rita made her home a place of peace and beauty. She loved playing cards, attending concerts, and traveling.
Rita is survived by her children, James Ronald and Eric Alan (Kristine), grandchildren Nicholas and Jacob, brothers John and Greg, and sister Karen (Hogue). She is also predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and John Mahalak.
