Jonathan Clay Lewis
October 25th, 1985 - August 1st, 2025
In loving memory of Jonathan Clay Lewis who left us too soon at the age of 39. Jonathan was born in Germany and grew up in Lake Wylie S.C. He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile. There are so many memories we will all cherish, and he will be greatly missed.
Jonathan grew up loving to scuba dive with his father and brother. He loved to golf, hang out with his friends, loved Georgia football and had a very strong love for his family. He had a witty humor that was one of a kind. For most of Jon’s career he worked in the service industry. He made many long-term friends that he cherished until his passing.
He was proceeded in death by his grandfather George T. Lewis and grandmother Betty Lewis, uncle Robert (Bob) Lewis, and Grandfather Billy G. Short.
His memory will live on through father James Lewis and wife Pam; Mother Kecia and husband Matthew Warren; brother James Lewis Jr. (Stephanie); nieces Mae Lewis and Evelyn; Stepsister Lesli Herbkersman (Cole) Niece Charlotte; Grandmother Joyce Short; Aunt Jennifer Kephart (Tim) son Alex, son Jack; Uncle David Lewis (Coco); Aunt Kearin Lewis; cousin Kate Lewis Yalniz (Ozan) children Robbie and Luca; cousin Suzanne Lewis, and cousin Steven Lewis.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on August 10, 2025, at 3 pm. Visitation with family will be held starting at 2 pm. The service will be at Hankins & Whittington Funeral home located at 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte NC 28203.
