Katherine "Kathy" Ann Karr - Fairchild

Katherine Ann (Karr) Fairchild of Loveland, Colorado passed on August 5, 2025, she was 65 years old.  Born in Boulder, she lived her life in Colorado with a brief sojourn to Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming for her higher education. The last two years of her life were spent at the Good Samaritan Society Home in Loveland.

Kathy made friends easily throughout her life, some during childhood that lasted through her final days, particularly Laurie Baker, who spent innumerable hours with Kathy in her final days.  Kathy also enjoyed the company of her current roommate at Good Samaritan, Sheila Eastman.

Kathy loved kittens and puppies and anyone visiting her would see her enormous collection of cat-themed décor. She also enjoyed needlework and gardening, during this growing season she was very protective of her flowers and tomato plants. 

Kathy is survived by her sister, Ellen Hoffman of Pascagoula, Mississippi; brothers, Ed Karr (Liz) of Aurora, Colorado; Joe Karr (Dawn) of Ft. Collins, Colorado; nephews Ed Karr (Tina) of Greely, Colorado; David Hoffman and Danny Hoffman of Pascagoula, Mississippi; in addition to great nieces Adrianne Karr of Aurora, Colorado; and Caroline Karr of Greely, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Karr, brother Jack Karr, and nephew Christopher Karr.

Services will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on August 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. There will be a private interment in the Evans Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her mother.
