Jared Andrew Cox
February 11th, 1983 - July 21st, 2025
Jared Andrew Cox passed away on July 21, 2025, following ongoing health struggles. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on February 11, 1983.
Jared graduated from East Jessamine High School in 2001 before earning a degree in Religion and Politics from Princeton University. He later received his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. A gifted athlete, Jared had a lifelong love of sports—especially football and golf. He played football at Princeton and was known for his focus, determination, and natural talent both on and off the field.
Jared was a practicing Catholic and a fierce friend—creative, kind, and funny. He devoted himself to helping others in his daily life and will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his wit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Addie and Leo; his mother, Diane Cox; his siblings, Colleen and Jimmy; and his nieces and nephew, Alex, Quinn, Darcy, and Finnegan. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Cox.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
