It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sharon Rivers-Groschen, a truly remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Sharon was born on December 13, 1966, in New London, CT. She grew up in Detroit, MI, but spent the last decades of her life in Phoenix, AZ. 21 years of that time were spent with her husband, Ray.

She embodied the roles of a devoted wife, loving sister, cherished aunt, loyal friend, and proud cat mommy. She passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Tempe, AZ, at the young age of 58.

Sharon was a vibrant spirit from the start. Known for her feisty demeanor and hilarious wit, she had a way of bringing joy to everyone. She poured her heart into her relationships, nurturing deep connections with her family and an expansive circle of friends.

Sharon was cremated, and her ashes were divided between her immediate family. She preferred not to have a service, but the family celebrated her life at her house in Phoenix, AZ. She would want all her friends to celebrate her as they see fit.
