Angel Emilio Encarnacion
October 25th, 1943 - August 6th, 2025
Angel Emilio Encarnacion, 81, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away on August 6, 2025 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Amsterdam, New York. He was born on October 25, 1943, in San José de Ocoa, Dominican Republic.
Angel had a strong connection to the land and took pride in agriculture and farming. He especially enjoyed raising roosters, a passion rooted in his upbringing and heritage. Though not always easy to understand or connect with, and often known for his stubbornness, Angel had his own quiet way of showing care. While many did not know him closely, it was clear through his actions that he did what he could to provide a better life for his family. One of his most lasting contributions was bringing his children to the United States in hopes of offering them greater opportunities and a brighter future. Angel will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his surviving family, who honor the sacrifices he made and the legacy he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Teresa Quezada De Encarnacion; his daughter, Damarys Encarnacion; his other children; grandchildren; and siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother and sister.
The family has chosen to remember Angel's life privately at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger and Stewart Family Funeral Homes.
