In Loving Memory
Mr. Clair "Gene" Eugene Jones, 89, of Kernersville passed away on August 6, 2025 at his home. Born in Latrobe, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Marie (Malnofski) Jones and husband of the late Goldie Jones, whom he lovingly cared for in her last years.
Gene is survived by his daughters, Sharon Lane (Frankie) and Debbie Baker (Morgan); his grandchildren, Beth White (Kevin), Caleb Lane (Hannah), Adam Pope (Amy), Ashley Pope, Zachary Baker (Allison), Rebekka Baker, Nathan Drew Baker, Levi Baker, and Isaac Baker; his nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his nephew, Steven Jones (Susan).
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Gideon Baker; and his brothers, Robert and Bill Jones.
A private interment will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Gene was an ardent and continual supporter of his granddaughter, Beth and her family, who are missionaries to the country of Bolivia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vision Baptist Missions, as Kevin and Beth White continue their work.
