William Edward Romero, was born in Denver Colorado on August 5, 1946 passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on August 4, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  

 

William was a proud graduate of North High School, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, June Ortega Romero. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and strength.  

 

William served honorably in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran — a reflection of his courage and dedication to service. After his time in the military, he began a long and proud career at the United States Mint in Denver, where he worked as a coin presser until his retirement.  

 

He is remembered for his quiet strength, hard work, and deep devotion to his family. Also his love for decorating trinkets with colorful jewels and his collection of Army memorabilia. 

 

William is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Martin (Eric), daughter-in-law Summer Romero, his brother Herman Romero, his sisters June Romero (Ron), Bernell Saiz (Skip), Debbie Gonzales and Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Ortega Romero; his son, Robbie Romero; and his daughter, Rhonda Romero Duran, his father Edward Romero, mother Madeline Gallegos his brothers Alex (Ginger), Marvin, Albert (Dodie), and Sammy Gonzales.  

 

A memorial service will be held on August 25, 2025, at All Saints Church, located at 2559 S Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80219  

 

Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Rosary and Funeral Mass.  

 

An honorable military burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1.p.m. with a reception following back at the church (dishes are welcome).   

 

William’s life was one of love, loyalty, and service. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  

 

I'm sure he's building that castle in the sky for our momma like he always said he would.
