Erma Ellen Eldridge-Conell
February 27th, 1938 - August 11th, 2025
Erma (Crockett) Eldridge-Conell went home to be with her Lord on August 11, 2025. She was 87.
Erma was born in Maitland, Missouri in 1938 to Clifford and Mildred (Keever) Crockett. The family moved to Loveland, Colorado when she was 3 years old. Erma graduated from Loveland High School in 1956, where she enjoyed playing the cornet and occasionally the bass drum in the marching band. She married David Eldridge, also of Loveland, in February 1957. The couple called many places home after Dave left the air force, but Loveland was always ‘home base’. Together Erma and Dave had two children, born opposite coasts of the U.S.
After Dave’s passing in Texas in 1997, Erma returned home to Loveland, spending time with her sister, Daphene Nolde. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Faith Church and loved her choir family there. She eventually met up with a former classmate and married Bob Conell in 2006.
Erma is predeceased by husband Dave Eldridge, her parents Clifford and Mildred Crockett; she is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; her two children Corinda (Rindy and husband Roger) Avis of Arkansas and Scott Eldridge of Texas and stepson Shawn (Gina) Conell of Alaska. Among her survivors are her sister Daphene Nolde of Loveland; two grandchildren Shane (Alena) Ellison of Florida and Destiny (Joey) LeTourneau of California. Later in life Erma also became blessed with four additional grandchildren, Tim, Lindsey, Sara and Darla. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, in addition to nephew Doug Nolde of Colorado and Janelle Christoffersen of Wyoming. Erma also held dear her beloved dogs, Noophy, Kandi and Penny, all three crossing the rainbow bridge.
Services for Erma will be held on Thursday August 28, 2025 at 11:00am at Faith Church Loveland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks instead for donations to Alzheimer’s Association, the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
Viegut Funeral Home of Loveland is in charge of services.
