Rosella Ruth Sullivan, passed away February 1, 2012 at Bee Hive Homes in Evans, CO. She was born February 22,1932 on a farm near Kenesaw, NE to Richard and Olga (Protratz) Struss. Rosella went to grade school at Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Juniata High School in 1950. Rosella went on to attend and graduate from Mary Landing Hospital where she earned her RN Degree. Continuing education was a big part of Rosella’s life, achieving many different levels in the nursing profession. From Metropolitan State College, of Denver, Colorado, Rosella earned the degree of Bachelor of Science. From the University of Colorado she earned her certification as an Occupational Adult Nurse Practitioner, COHN. She worked for different hospitals and industries throughout her years before retiring. Rosella enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, line dancing, square dancing, loved reading books, walking and volunteering at various state "points of interests” her favorite being Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, CO. She enjoyed working and loved spending time with her family and friends. She specially liked taking her grandchildren to her favorite place, McDonalds. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Marlene) Hueske of Hudson, CO Doug (Katie) Hueske of Littleton, CO and Brad (Janice) Hueske of Weldona, CO; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jared, Mariah, Danielle, Megan and Heath;one great granddaughter, Lylah Sahlieh; sisters, Phyllis (Ed) Beadle of Edina, MN and Nora (Rich) Ganguish of Wellington, NV; sister-in-law, Gerry Struss of Kenesaw, NE; She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Struss; sister, Georgia Stahlberg and close cousin, Ralph Struss. God saw her getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so He wrapped His arms around her, and whispered, "Come with me”. Private family services are to be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to your local "Alzheimer’s Association” or the "American Alzheimer’s Association” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
